![]() Lightly spray the basket of an air fryer with non stick cooking spray. Repeat until all the pop tarts have been made. Press the fork into the top of the pop tart several times to create holes for steam to escape. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring, for 2 minutes. Place in a small saucepan with the strawberry jam and bring the mixture to a boil. To make the filling, combine the cornstarch and cold water. now is not the time to care about doing anything perfectly, it’s hard enough to do anything at all lol. Using the tines of a fork, press down along all edges of the pop tart to seal. Divide the dough in half and wrap in plastic wrap. and yes they’re totally asymmetrical but as i always say, you can blame your kid for that. So yeah ours came out looking like crap, we overfilled them, i forgot to crimp the edges like i said, and the jelly leaked out everywhere during baking– BUT i was able to salvage but trimming with a chefs knife prior to adding the glaze. when i decided on pop tarts it was because we had so many blueberries and lemons so i wanted to use some of them up, but then i started researching and realized i could just use jelly instead so again, EASY! Wrap each tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 30 minutes or overnight. Once thickened, remove from the heat and place in a small bowl. I wasn’t planning on creating a blog post when i decided arlo and i would make homemade pop tarts but it was actually so easy and a super fun recipe with a toddler so you should do it too! they don’t look great and i forgot to crimp the edges but WHO CARES!!!?!
